Thankgiving Weekend
This weekend instead of sitting at a dinner table and eating Turkey I was convinced to do a mercy run of 7.5km to be done with a partner. Okay it doesn't sound difficult but put some major incline on that 7.5km and you have a tough test of my physical indurance. The race was called the " la castagna d'oro" or "The Chestnut of Gold". I want to know where that Chestnut of Gold was to be found - maybe in a safe somewhere. We completed the race in 41 minutes which was much better than I expected. I needed to be pushed to the finish line as I thought I was going to vomit. All that and not a sign of the Chestnut of Gold or a turkey. They say at Thankgiving 45 Million turkeys are eaten, but in Italy you cant even find one turkey in the supermarket with the bone-in. Oh well, who needs turkey when you have pasta.
